Brisbane barrister pleads guilty to making child porn

A FORMER Queensland barrister spent last night behind bars after pleading guilty to making child pornography and sharing it on the "dark web".

Stephen James Keliher, 55, from Annerley, wrote stories about his experiences of paedophilia and shared hundreds of "depraved and degrading" child-porn videos and images, the Brisbane Supreme Court heard.

Prosecutor Imogen Taylor said some of the material was considered the worst kind in terms of its explicit content.

"He sought relationships with real human children for sexual gratification," she said.

"This was an organised network, sharing information and files in relation to child pornography."
